What is Quotable?

Quotable helps you create professional, branded proposals that you can send to prospects and clients. Unlike emailing a PDF, Quotable proposals are web-based, which means you can see exactly when your prospect opens them and which sections they spend time reading.

Proposal Statuses

Your Branding

Make proposals look like they come from your business, not generic software.

Setting Up Your Brand

Go to Settings โ†’ Branding to configure:

Tip Upload your logo in PNG format with a transparent background for best results. Aim for around 200-300 pixels wide.

Per-Proposal Customisation

While your brand settings apply to all proposals by default, you can override them for individual proposals if needed โ€” useful if you're white-labelling for a partner or creating something special for a major client.

Engagement Tracking

This is where Quotable really shines. Instead of wondering whether your prospect has looked at your proposal, you'll know exactly what's happening.

What You Can See

Using This Information

Engagement data helps you follow up more effectively:

Privacy Note Tracking works via standard web analytics techniques. You're seeing aggregate behaviour, not recording their every click. It's the same technology most websites use.

Custom Fields

Track additional information on your proposals with custom fields.

Common Custom Fields

Custom fields can be used for filtering and reporting on your proposal pipeline.

Tips for Better Proposals

Keep it Scannable

Use clear headings, bullet points, and short paragraphs. Your prospect should be able to understand the key points in 30 seconds of skimming.

Lead with Value

Start with what you'll deliver and the benefits, not your company history. They want to know what's in it for them.

Make Pricing Clear

Don't hide your prices or make them hard to find. Confusion kills deals. Be clear about what's included and what costs extra.

Include a Clear Next Step

Tell them exactly what to do next. "Reply to this email to accept" or "Call me on 0123 456789 to discuss" โ€” don't leave them guessing.

Set Reasonable Expiry Dates

An expiry date creates urgency, but make it realistic. 14-30 days is typical. Too short feels pushy; too long removes urgency.

Follow-Up Timing If someone has viewed your proposal but not responded, wait 2-3 days then follow up. Reference that you noticed they'd had a chance to look at it: "I saw you've had a look at the proposal โ€” any questions I can answer?"
